Oh, man, the end of the endless lace project is in sight. Holy crap. Fortunately, half of the upcoming rows are just purled. Just. A few. More days. Can I do 10 a day? Can I get FIRED UP???

I was looking at Walk Score, which rates a neighborhood's accessiblity for people on foot (terrain not evaluated.) Dang. My cousin's house (it used to be my grandma's) rated an 89/100. Mine rates a 9/100.

mine's a 9/100 also...just means we're rural that's all! We can walk and breathe a lot fresher air and look at all the purty nature around.....we just can't walk to the grocery and all (and besides who wants to CARRY groceries home from walking?)

Where do you live? BFN? Our old house rates 83, new house rates 60. At the new house, I can't even walk to the supermarket, drug store, or a coffee place.

Big secret, Marie-most of us live in BFE. This survey didn't evaluate public transportation, of which we have...zero.

I was a bit surprised at the ratings. My house rated a 51 even though I live within a mile of a major grocery store; a college; public elementary and secondary schools; 3 private schools; golf, tennis, and swimming parks, 2 coffee shops, 2 clothing stores, 2 libraries, and a dozen or more resturants. The LYS is less than 2 miles :)
Seems like it should score higher than 51

not needing a car would be nice; but I'll take my quiet Minneapolis suburb any day!
I do my walking for sport, I guess...
