Grace, Webs was having a sale on the Kimono angora/merino blend (multi-colored). I don't want them to leave, I just don't know what else strippers do! HAHAHA!
You make them sound like "cheap" ecdysiasts ... I mean, only a dollar? LOL. Surely they would rate a minimum of a Lincoln or Hamilton... or do they even rate as high as a Jackson, or even a Franklin?
Please tell us more about the yarn... I like the red & the blue colored balls... (yeah, green isn't one of my faves, but I seem to be buying a lot of green lately)
Ann had Skye Tweed...I was only able to get 4 balls of red from her, and lucked out and found more in THE SAME DYELOT at Webs. It's REALLY a nice clean red. The two angora blends are Louisa Harding Kimono---I'm not nuts about the brownish one, but I adore angora...it's got to have merino in it to give it some ooomph--100% angora is like wet spaghetti-it has NO body. This has a little-maybe 25%, and it helps...it could use more. I like 70% merino, 30 angora...Elann had one once, and MAN I loved than yarn. I read good things about Louisa Harding's so I bought a little. I think they are sold out of the blue.
You are so mean. I had some of that blue in my cart, and left it there overnight, so I could go home to see if I could rationalize..gone. Pretty, pretty. Is the Skye tweed soft? Don't want to know, don't want to know. Have enough scarf yarn, there will be more pretty stuff, going to go home and wallow in my DB merino. But maybe I'll just check in over there at Webs and see if anymore blue turned up...Daryl
I'm glad thte angora found a good home with you. Maybe I can give it a virtual fondle. It's more likely to have the opportunities to express it's full potential with you than joining those neglected yarns in my custody. It's just that it looks even prettier in your picture than the Webs swatch. I can't wait to see what it tells you it wants to be when it grows up.
I didn't need to see this. I have taken that angora and matching kimono ribbon in and out of my cart THREE times. And your silk/wool thick and thin. If you don't have enough for a raglan zipper cardi, I'd go hat and scarf. I love those colors.

Typical crappy Webs box (I just don't get it), but nothing shabby about what fell out. Mmmmm....
I bought a few of their house brands in Dec. just to see what they're like. Crappy box, but nice yarn in there.
I can show them the money, but I really want to FEEL them first!
Heh. Trish, have you had practice???
;-)
