My favorite stitch-

I have a favorite stitch. NOT a favorite stitch pattern, a favorite stitch. I love the double decrease. Slip 1, K2 tog, PSSO. There's something about it that feels like dancing.
I'm working on the Swallowtail Shawl from the Fall 2006 IWK. I'm working in Noro Silver Thaw. The colorway is hideous.

hate to argue with you but I love that colorway, at least in your picture I do!!! That shawl is on my to do eventually list, I bought Knit Picks Shadow for it in the reddish shade

Oh, I think it looks like someone had a train wreck with a load of highlighters. Maybe it will grow on me.

I'm with Grace -- except you've only given us a snatch here, but it looks like a great colourway to me too. Love those greens. One person's hideous is another's joy. Do you have a green-freak in mind for this one?

It wouldn't be the colorway I would've picked for you, but I kinda like it. I hope it does grow on you.

You know, after 7 repeats, perfectly done, thanks, I looked at the same issue and thought, hell, I'm gonna make the target mittens instead. They would work and be great in this yarn!

swallowtail is nice...and maybe the yarn will grow on you..but from my experience anyway..naaaahhh....you'll gift it on....or...DYE IT!!! my new mantra if the color doesn't succeed, dye, dye again.

Oh, crap, swallowtail has left the building. Not this yarn, not this project.

Well, why on earth would you make ANYTHING in green unless it was for me or your MIL?
Or did it oinly look good on my screen?
Did you like the swallowtail pattern? Were the mittens just better for the yarn?

I was just eyeballing my Wool Peddlers shawl tonight (only 3 rows of bottom border left, then bind off) which has lots of your fave double decrease and that decrease just looks wrong to me. Of course it's still cramped together on needles and unblocked. Hmmm....

Bets,
yes, wednesdays have become sad little holes in my weeks without PR. i totally can't make myself care about top chef this season. i didn't care about it last season until i saw the infamous scene where dave says "i'm not your bitch, bitch"...then i watched the entire marathon! good luck finding a substitute :)
