That is GORGEOUS, absolutely my favorite colors! Funny, I broke my crock pot yesterday taking it up to dump out some yarn I overdyed with sapphire blue after the first attempt at dyeing for Carinthia's new slippers didn't work out like I wanted. The overdyed is perfect. This weekend I hit the Rummage sale to find some old pots, hopefully a new pot for my crock, and over dye the sock yarn which turned out a dingy lavender. Love the glow from the silk. Daryl
Now that is very pretty! Was this yarn already a colour? That's what it looked like, and then you enhanced the colour with the kool-aid. Good job -- the finished colour is lovely. I have a nice yarn that is a boring creamy yellow. I'm going to try something like this too.
I adOre Cherry Tree Hill Silken Mohair, I just got a skein from Handpaint Heaven of Fall Foliage Lace Merino and they sent a sample card with Marthas vineyard silken mohair Must must add that to birthday list!!
Your courage is rewarded with some lusterous yarn. What are you going to make with it? Better knit it up or else Daryl might come in the night and knitnap it. ;)
that is absolutely gorgeous! i can't wait to see what comes out of it!! i have never tried to dye my own yarn - i can only imagine the mess that would come out of it (and maybe a colorful kitty!) - but, that looks not quite as scary as i had imagined :) -whitney
I don't think it can be knitnapped-it's halfway into a shrug already. Not sure if I have enough yarn, but what the heck! Yes, Jayne, this started out as green and mauve. It wasn't all that pretty. It was an e-bay buy.

Thank you-I am knitting it up, and STILL think it's blah, but thank goodness I added SOME blue to it.
