NNggh! Wham! Uff! Ngrrh! Thump....

I am struggling. I am in the middle of some obligation knitting. It's finicky obligation knitting. It's not necessarily FUN obligation knitting. It shouldn't even be DIFFICULT obligation knitting, but if I ever meet this pattern writer, I will kidney poke her with my size 17s. "Damn, girlfriend, were you freaking BLIND??? Could you make that simple thing any harder? Wait, let me help you scramble up those directions some more, you missed a spot."

No photos today, sorry. Just know that I am in the throes of an epic struggle between good and evil- I was trying to finish this obligation knitting when I was blindsided by --- a damned good idea.

Yow! Ka-Blamm! How can I EVER get this THING done with a good idea hanging over my head??? I know, I know. Call it my carrot. (Call me a dumb - uhm - bunny, yeah, that's it.)

HAHAHA! You are right on about that pattern. Don't you have some 35's you can use on her??? Your good idea IS a good idea. You'll have it refined by the time you finish your project. Yeah, a carrot, that's it, that's what it is.

Well, if you are *anything* like me; I'd suggest you write down your good idea. I have had so many GREAT ideas and then I go to sleep and -boom- gone. So in all honesty, I am not even sure they were all that great, because I can't remember 'em...

Betsy,
You have my complete sympathy (just ignore that laughter you hear in the background!) I've found myself forced to keep knitting something when I really wanted to get started on something else, and it's hell. Maybe you can allow yourself to work a few rows on the wonderful new thing, if you set it up as a reward for doing X number of rows on the obligation knitting nightmare?

There can be no sympathy knitting, no side-stepping, no break. It's not hard, it's just a pain!

Mmmmmust finish (whew) this project!
