Thanks for the post on your mother. I love the image of driving over random frost heaves. That says a lot. My mom did not do "motherly" things. She was such a lost little girl herself that she really didn't know how. But she was very good at providing the raw materials for creative pursuits. Maybe I'll blog something about that one of these days.

Frost heaves-hah, you know exactly WHAT I mean! Makes your teeth rattle if you don't slow down!
