There will be a point deduction-

It was a good idea, but I didn't really want to reskein a sweater's worth of yarn. Soooo I tried it without skeining.

Baaaah.

Now I HAVE to reskein everything, because I have to redye it.

At one point in the process, all the yarn was in a blue bath. I expected the dye to migrate more, instead of just hitting the fibers and glomming on.

I used our favorite blue raspberry koolaid. I think I will go buy some big girl dye to throw on top of THAT.

I don't think I can make the colors worse

Fugly yarn that smells like blue rasberries? I would be rolling on the floor if it weren't that I've had so many "good ideas" of my own in the past.

sounds like the perfect entertainment for watching the Olympics. Just set up the swift and start winding those bouncing balls! The good news is that it looks like the overdye worked. It may end up being absolutely beautiful.

Surely it must be therapeutic work.

I tried dying an already knit item. It wasn't pretty. The dye didn't seem to go all the way through the fabric. sigh
Is that the overdye you posted at Elann? It looks beautiful. I love how you always come up with brilliant ideas
