I still don't have knitting I can actually SHOW, which IS getting a little old, because I have to hunt up other things to talk about. I got Berroco KnitBits #150 today. The garments are FINE, but the copy bit my butt. Our crew neck pullover can be transformed into an ethnic costume with a touch of the "Eurasian Peasant." Hmmm. Ethnic, schmethnic...if they meant Turkish or Tibetan, they should have said so (but I think it looks Hungarian). I am Eurasian, and I think I qualify as a Peasant, which means I've been outed- I'm not properly dressed!! I've practiced the slack-jawed expression, and I think I've got that mastered, but must I wrap toilet paper around my head too?

I cast on mine own mystery project last night. Nothing beats having the needles full with another football game tonight and school starting this week. One project forward, two back is what that means...
Hee, hee, Bets...I just had to click on the Berroco link, 'cause I couldn't believe the peasant thing was for real! Looks like a candidate for the "you knit what" page. I need to show this to older DS who besides being "Eurasian" has good sense of ridiculousness...I can already hear his sniggering!

The sweater is FINE, the copy is ridiculous. (Well, not exactly, I think the self-striping yarn striped on one sleeve but not on the other, but that's kind of normal.)
Tell your DS#1 to practice that look, and I will send some toilet paper for him to wrap around his head!

I agree the sweater plain as picured on the left looks FINE as is, maybe they just got an attack of Vogue-itis! Or (sigh), maybe we're just not part of their target demographic group.
My DS#1 already has that look down pat, likes to mess up pictures that way :-).
The embroidery is fine, but I don't like the hair, that's for sure. Did you show DS#1 this picture-I know he's gotta love the fact that his expression is trendy!
