Life in the sticks

This was a priority package at work yesterday. The roosters complained about their cramped, dark quarters.

I must live in the sticks too. It seems every time I go to the PO I see chickens in boxes getting ready to get thrown on the mule train. BTW, congrats on the new PT job! I need me one of those.

I am still delighted when I walk into our Post Office and hear the peeping of chicks. It amazes me no end that it is possible to mail them.

However, the last time this happened, our Postmaster mentioned that after 5 or 6 hours, the cheeping wasn't quite so delightful. I had to agree with her that it probably was a bit like an endlessly dripping faucet.

Have missed you on the Chat center, but see that you have a lovable new member of the household, and have gotten a job! Congratulations on both :-)
My mailman is great, have had the same one for over 20 years. The counter staff at my Post Office must be under a lot of stress, they don't seem especially happy to be there...interesting to hear your insider's viewpoint.
